In Memoriam: Keith Richardson

Keith A. Richardson, a veteran scrap executive with Pennsylvania-based Krentzman Metals Corp., passed away June 20, 2008, at the age of 67.

 

Richardson graduated from Pennsylvania Military College and served two years in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in France. A long-time veteran of the scrap industry, he was employed in the purchasing department of Bethlehem Steel for 30 years, when he then retired to Johnstown, Pa.

 

Since 1998, Richardson had been a senior scrap broker, representing Krentzman Metals Corp., Lewistown, Pa.

 

Richardson was a member of the National Association of Purchasing Managers and is listed in “Who’s Who in American Business,” as well as being active in several community organizations.

 

Richardson is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara, and his daughter, Carrie (Norman) Smilowitz.

 

A memorial service will be held at the Franklin Street United Methodist Church in Johnstown, Pa., on July 5.
