The Springfield, Massachusetts-based International Molded Fiber Association (IMFA) will host its 28th Annual Conference in Barcelona, Spain, next April.
The selection of Barcelona marks IMFA's return to Europe, which hosted its 2025 conference in Florida, its 2024 conference in California and its 2023 conference in Arizona.
The gathering of molded fiber producers, many of whom use recovered paper as feedstock, will offer facility tours and networking opportunities along with conference sessions.
The organization has chosen the Torre Melina Gran Meliá in Barcelona as its venue and selected April 13-17, 2026, as the dates.
“For the first time ever, the IMFA Annual Conference will feature exclusive site visits to molded fiber production facilities in and around Barcelona,” the organization says, adding that the guided tours will offer a "unique, firsthand look at the technologies, processes and innovations shaping the future of our industry.”
Conference programming will include technical presentations and updates on global regulatory, policy and compliance trends.
The organization says its 2025 conference this April near Miami attracted nearly 200 attendees representing 88 companies from different parts of the world.
“We expect an even broader international turnout in Barcelona,” IMFA says.
Additional information about the conference, including how to register, can be found on the IMFA website.
