IMCO Recycling Inc. announced that its Coldwater, Mich., aluminum recycling plant and its Shelbyville, Tenn., specialty alloys facility have been awarded ISO 14001 Certificates Of Registration for environmental management by the Steel Related Industries Quality Systems Registrar.
The certificates were awarded to the plants after audits of their environmental management systems' policies and procedures were carried out by SRI. ISO 14001 requires an organization to monitor and measure the environmental performance of its activities, products and services in order to continually improve that performance.
The Michigan and Tennessee facilities are operated by IMCO's Specialty Alloys Division. The division has five U.S. production plants and provides specification aluminum alloys to auto and light truck manufacturers and their suppliers. It also serves other markets.Latest from Recycling Today
