IL Recycling Appoints New CEO

Lars-Gunnar Almryd to join company.

Lars-Gunnar Almryd has been appointed the new CEO and group president of IL Recycling, succeeding Jan Brazelius, who is retiring after 23 years as CEO with the company.

Almryd will take his new post Oct. 1, at which point Brazelius will retire.

Almryd currently serves as purchasing director at Billerud AB, a Swedish manufacturer of paper packaging. He has many years of experience in the paper and recycling industries, including positions with Stora Enso and as a member of the board of IL Recycling, which is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

“IL Recycling has developed very favorably in recent years. Consolidating the company’s position as one of Sweden’s leading recycling companies is an exciting challenge,” Almryd says.

Bruzelius says, “Lars-Gunnar Almryd is the right person to continue building on IL Recycling’s strong systems for efficient and profitable environmental services.”
