IGORA Co-Op, a Zurich, Switzerland-based aluminum recycling cooperative, has elected Robert Buhler its new chairman. He replaces outgoing chairman Arno Bertozzi. Buhler has been chairman of PET Recycling Switzerland for the last six years.
The cooperative also has made two other changes to its eight-person board. Claudia Boesch, head of finance and administration at Red Bull AG and Jurgen Schwarz, general manager of Amcor Flexibles, have been added to the board. The two replace Daniel Kallay and August Ghetta, respectively.
More than 80 companies involved in the beverage, food, pet food, retail and aluminum industry in Switzerland are members of IGORA. The goal of the group is to achieve a 100 percent aluminum recycling rate.
In related news, the Swiss food retailer Denner AG has joined IGORA.
