IFAT Entsorga, which takes place May 7 to 11 in Munich, Germany, has announced it is allocating exhibit space for two new product groups: “suppliers of secondary raw materials” and “users of secondary raw materials.”
The trade fair has traditionally focused on further products and services in the secondary raw materials, waste management, water and sewage sectors.
According to a news release issued by IFAT Entsorga’s organizers, “The aim here is to bring together those companies [that] have secondary raw materials, e.g. copper from piping, with customers who need those raw materials in the manufacture of their own products.” The organizers say their goal will be for IFAT Entsorga to be “an ideal and target-oriented platform for secondary raw materials [trading].”
In addition to seeking scrap buyers and sellers, IFAT Entsorga’s organizers, Messe München International, say they will be seeking wider participation from transmission engineering, fluid technology and power generation units, accessories and wear parts, as well as “suppliers of machinery, plant and equipment for waste disposal and recycling.”
IFAT Entsorga represents a new combination of two traditionally large German trade fairs. The 2010 IFAT show “attracted 2,730 exhibitors from 49 countries and 109,589 visitors from 186 countries,” according to the show’s organizers.
