Conference organizer ICM AG has placed program information online for the automotive, electronics and battery recycling event it will host this Nov. 10-13 in Shanghai.
Switzerland-based ICM has given the event an overarching name of the World Reuse & Recycling Forum and is incorporating elements of three conferences it hosts annually in Europe into the event: the International Congress for Battery Recycling (ICBR), the International Automotive Recycling Congress (IARC) and the International Electronics Reuse & Recycling Congress (IERC).
The Shanghai gathering, hosted at the Pudong Shangri-La Hotel, will start with facility tours Nov. 10, with tours of plants operated by steelmaker Baosteel, and electronics recyclers SK Tes China and Shanghai Xin Jinqiao Environmental Protection Co. Ltd. scheduled for that day.
Additional tours have been scheduled for Nov. 13 to battery materials firms Botree Recycling Technologies, HuaYou Cobalt and Jereh Green Resources Recycling (Zhengzhou), plus shredder producer China Recycling Newell Equipment Co.
The schedule Nov. 11 and Nov. 12 is dedicated to presentations and panel discussions addressing topics pertaining to the end-of-life vehicle, battery and electronics recycling markets and technologies.
Among those scheduled to moderate sessions are Lennart Scheunis of battery materials firm Umicore, Wang Lilli of Volkswagen’s China operations and Stephan Schwarz, CEO of ArcelorMittal Downstream-Solutions.
Speakers and panelists lined up by ICM include representatives from Amazon, Dell, Lenovo, Alba Group, Cirba Solutions and the Revomet business unit of Cronimet.
The full program of the World Reuse & Recycling Forum and information on how to register for the event are available on the forum’s website.
