ICE Recycling partners with South Carolina city

ICE (Industrial Conservation Engineering) Recycling LLC, a Leigh Fibers company, has announced a partnership with Lake City, South Carolina, to handle the city’s curbside residential recyclables. ICE will process the city’s recyclables at the company’s main facility in Lake City on Cedar Street.

The recyclables are delivered to ICE weekly, processed and shipped to customers that generate products from recycled materials, according to the company.

Shawn Bell, city administrator, says, “We are thrilled many of our residents continue to make the conscious decision to recycle and the city of Lake City is ecstatic to be able to partner with one of our community’s own industries to handle those recyclables.”

In addition to the new business opportunity withLake City, ICE has unveiled a new look to celebrate its growth and transformation over the past two years. The new logo is indicative of the movement of ICE Recycling into the future changing and evolving with the industry, the company says.

Wesley Ballou, ICE general manager, adds, “We are proud to say that ICE Recycling is advancing, not only with new business opportunities but [also] with an updated look.”

While ICE Recycling’s logo has changed, the company says it remains steadfast in its commitment to its employees, customers, shareholders and community.

Founded in 2008, ICE Recycling, based in Lake City, reprocesses postindustrial polymers, cardboard, paper and metals for companies throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. The company provides on-site waste stream management as well as off-site reprocessing services. ICE is affiliated with Leigh Fibers Inc.
