Huntco Steel Co., a mid-sized steel company that specializes in flat rolled carbon steel to fit the specifications of manufacturers through its Flat Roll Products Divisions, filed for bankruptcy protection Feb. 4. Huntco is headquartered in Town & Country, Mo.
The company will seek to liquidate assets to pay off creditors. The company has plants in Madison, Ill.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; Pasadena, Texas; Catoosa, Okla.; and near Ghent, Ky.
A subsidiary of Huntco, Midwest Products, has a plant in Strafford, Mo. St. Louis Dispatch
