Hudson Baylor Adds to MRF Operations

Recycling firm signs contracts in New York and Arizona.

Hudson Baylor Corp., Newburgh, N.Y., has announced the signing of two separate contracts that will allow the company to manage materials recycling facilities (MRFs) in two separate cities.

In New York state, the Town Board of the Town of Brookhaven has awarded an operating/marketing contract for the Brookhaven MRF in Yaphank, N.Y., to Hudson Baylor Corp.

And in Arizona, the City of Phoenix has awarded an operating/marketing contract for its North Gateway Transfer Station MRF to Hudson Baylor. That MRF is projected to process more than 50,000 tons of recyclable material collected from City of Phoenix residents annually.

“Hudson Baylor has worked with the city of Phoenix since 1998,” notes Scott Tenney, President of Hudson Baylor Corp. “We look forward to continuing our association.” Hudson Baylor begins operation of the city-owned recycling facility on Feb. 1, 2007.

The Brookhaven MRF in New York is projected to generate in excess of 40,000 tons of recyclable material annually. Hudson Baylor will also commence operation of that facility on Feb.1, 2007.

Hudson Baylor Corp. has been involved in the recycling industry since 1983. The company operates 10 plants in three states, both as an owner-operator and contract operator for municipal customers.
