Germany’s Herbold Meckesheim GmbH will be demonstrating several products at the International Plastics Recycling Trade Show, scheduled for Oct. 13-17 in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The company’s new SB series granulators will be represented at the show by the SML 60/100 SB model. The machine is designed to achieve optimum throughput performance with considerably less power input. Intended applications include PET bottles and the secondary size reduction of pre-shredded scrap. Another Herbold machine on display will be one designed for the size reduction of long profile bars and pipes. The SMP series, to be represented by the SMP 35/42 model, is a small machine in size that can handle shapes as large as “central window profiles,” according to a Herbold news release. The machine “has been developed for small extrusion companies [that generate] quantities of up to 250 kilograms per hour,” according to the company. Because of its integrated sound insulation, the machine is suitable to locate within production areas. More information on the Herbold Meckesheim GmbH product line can be found at www.herbold.com.
