To ensure it continues to be active in the promising recycling sector, MeWa says it will regularly launch new products to the market, concentrating increasingly on up-and-coming niches. For the pre-treatment of domestic and industrial waste, MeWa introduced a redesigned shredder at the beginning of the year. The system is intended for large throughput quantities and provides an output that with further processing it suitable for alternative fuels. The engineers at MeWa also have developed the patented cross-flow shredder. When used to process biomass, the gas yield can be increased by 30 per cent to 40 per cent compared to conventional procedures, according to the company.
