Tube City IMS LLC has appointed Hideto Hata as director of outsource purchasing and sales for Central and South America.
Hata will work with the company’s Raw Material and Optimization Group to generate new business opportunities in Central and South America, according to David Aronson, president and COO, Raw Material and Optimization Group, Tube City IMS.
Prior to joining Tube City, Hata worked in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility for Sojitz Corp., in Tokyo, Caracas, Venezuela and New York City.
“Hideto is a seasoned executive with a strong track record of success, and we are pleased to welcome him to the team,” says Aronson. “Hideto will report directly to Hideyuki “Nishi” Nishizawa, managing director of Asia, who is responsible for developing, managing and expanding the company’s international trading operations from the Singapore trading office.”
Tube City also announced the appointment of Jerry Strader to vice president of marketing. Strader will be working with the company’s Mill Services Group to generate new business opportunities.
