Harsco Corp. announced that its MultiServ mill services division will significantly expand its on-site service responsibilities at Arcelor's Creusot Metal steel mill in France under a five-year contract renewal valued at close to $15 million. The new contract triples the previous contract revenues and adds to a nearly 12-year on-site relationship. The additional services are scheduled to begin next month.
MultiServ will take over a range of slag handling and scrap oxycutting responsibilities at Creusot Metal, where the division also provides scrap yard management and handling services, as well as automated Androfer slab scarfing, MultiServ's proprietary flame technology for preparing steel surfaces for high-quality automotive and other uses.
Creusot Metal is a subsidiary of Arcelor's Industeel group, which specializes in advanced technology carbon, alloy and stainless steel slabs and ingots.
MultiServ operates at more than 160 mills in more than 30 countries, making it the world's single largest provider of on-site, outsourced mill services to the steel and metals industries.Latest from Recycling Today
