Harris Waste Management Group Inc., with U.S. locations in Baxley and Cordele, Georgia, has hired Glenn Godwin as director of quality and safety.
Godwin previously served as operational excellence manager at an Imerys mining and processing facility in Andersonville, Georgia, where he was responsible for 5S implementation, achieving cost reductions and facilitating continuous quality improvement.
Harris says Godwin brings more than a decade of experience to his new role, having quality, safety, management and leadership experience at a variety of companies throughout Georgia.
Godwin has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
Harris is a leader in manufacturing ferrous and nonferrous scrap processing equipment, while its IPS division specializes in manufacturing ferrous, nonferrous, plastics and mixed fiber balers. Manufactured at two facilities, Harris/IPS equipment is backed by a worldwide distribution organization, supported by a large staff of factory technicians and parts inventories at both distributor sites and the manufacturing plants.
