Harris Waste Management Group Inc., Peachtree City, Ga., has made two personnel announcements at its Cordele, Ga., facility.
Jerry Jackson has been appointed manager of engineering and will operate out of the Cordele facility, and Mike Lee has been named general manager of the Cordele manufacturing facility.
As the engineering manager, Jackson will oversee daily activities of the Cordele engineering department and sales interface for the plant.
In May of 2005, Jackson was awarded the “Employee of the Year” for engineering by the Waste Equipment Technology Association (WASTEC). He has more than 30 years of experience in the scrap and recycling industries.
Mike Lee will oversee production, inventory control, warehousing, procurement and group capital expenditure at Cordele.
He has been employed with Harris for 36 years. “Mike is an asset to this company, and his leadership will ensure that Harris stays on the competitive edge for many years to come,” says Harris president Edd Berkoben.
Harris Waste Management Group Inc. designs and manufactures scrap processing, recycling, waste handling and size reduction equipment.
