Harris Installs Shear in NC

Harris Waste Management installs a large shear in North Carolina.

Harris Waste Management Inc. announced that it recently installed a BSH-1023-B-4 shear at C&C Scrap Iron & Metal, a scrap recycler located in King’s Mountain, N.C.

The shear includes an advanced Harris designed and built 400-hp power plant. The flooded-suction hydraulic power unit uses the latest advancements in Harris Press & Shear hydraulic technology, and is designed for quieter operation and longer pump wear life.

According to Dennis Conner of C&C Scrap, “We have operated Harris equipment for a number years and have found their designs and construction to be extremely reliable and efficient. We have also been impressed with their service response time and feel that Harris personnel are experts in their field.”
