Harris Names New VP of Quality

Glenn Godwin promoted to oversee quality and safety programs.

Harris, Clover, Ga., has promoted Glenn Godwin to director of Quality. In his new role, Godwin will be responsible for group-wide quality and safety initiatives. He will assume his new role effective in mid-April and will report directly to Ken Galason, president of Harris.

Godwin joined Harris in 2010 from Cooper Lighting and played a role in Harris’s ability to earn ISO 9001:2008 certification. He has experience in lean manufacturing, safety and quality management.

“I plan on focusing my efforts on delivering defect-free products to Harris customers,” he comments. Godwin is a Lean Manufacturing Black Belt.

Harris designs, manufactures and services scrap processing, recycling and waste handling equipment. The company’s product range includes two-ram, horizontal and vertical balers, shears and shredders. Harris equipment helps recycle ferrous and nonferrous metals, recovered paper, cardboard and plastics.
