Harris to Distribute Ecotecnica Product Line

Company will market Italian-made balers, loggers and shears on four continents.

Harris Waste Management Group Inc., Tyrone, Ga., has announced its exclusive representation of the Ecotecnica SRL line of ferrous processing equipment on four continents. Under an exclusive marketing agreement, Harris will market and service the Italian-made Ecotecnica line of balers, loggers and shears in North America, South America, Asia and Australia.

Ecotecnica manufactures and supports a line of baler/logger/shears and balers in the range of 500 tons to 800 tons of shear force. The products can be outfitted with electric or diesel motors and can be well configured as stationary, mobile or transportable units.

The agreement, which took effect in December of 2010, “continues Harris’ dominant presence in the ferrous equipment market, as well as developing and improving its offering to its global customer base,” the company states in a news release.

“Harris is committed to providing their customers with the widest range of scrap processing equipment supported by the highest level of customer service,” says Doug Sebastian, vice president of Harris Waste Management. “Ecotecnica’s commitment to providing those resources is what makes this partnership a valuable proposition.”

Kenneth Galason, president of Harris states, “The reliable performance of the machinery Harris sells is crucial to our success. In our discussions with Ecotecnica, it was clear that their service, parts and technical support was superior and gives Harris customers a significant advantage.”

Ecotecnica S.R.L. is based in Rome and was founded in 1998. The company obtained ISO 9001 certification in 2003 and says it “has a focus on excellence in the manufacture and design of its products and after sales service.” More information on the company can be found at http://www.ecotecnica.it/default.aspx.
