Harris Waste Management Group Inc., has announced the sale of 11 pieces of equipment to 10 companies in eight states.
Four H562 DT transportable shear baler loggers have been purchased by Garret Recycling in Paducah, Ky.; Waukesha Iron and Metal Inc., in Waukesha, Wis.; MAW Salvage in Brighton, Ill.; and Augustine Metals in Colton, Calif.
The diesel-powered piece of equipment can make up to 5.5 cuts per minute and 20 to 30 bales per hour.
The H562s exert 520 tons of shear force and can process #1 and #2 scrap, miscellaneous light scrap, shapes, automobiles, auto body parts, white goods and pipe.
Three GS series baler/logger/shears have also been sold. Advanced Steel Recovery Inc., in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., has purchased a model GS-11-E-5; Wheeler Metals in Muskogee, Okla., has purchased a model GS-7-E-3; and Scrap Corp., in McAlester, Okla., has purchased a model GS-5-E-2.
The GS line comes in 500, 700, 900 and 1,000-ton shearing capacities and can offer up to 226 tons of baling force.
And three HBL 66-16 stationary baler loggers have been purchased by Todd Heller Inc., in North Hampton, Pa.; Berg Recycling in Baltimore; and CFC Recycling Inc., in Tullahoma, Tenn.
The machines use 170 tons of baling force and 165 tons of side force to process grades such as #1 and #2 scrap, miscellaneous light scrap, shapes, auto body parts, white goods and pipe.
