Hardware Store Offers Rechargeable Battery Recycling

Orchard Supply partners with RBRC to promote rechargeable battery, cell phone recycling.

Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH), a San Jose, Calif.-based chain of home improvement and garden retail stores, has joined with the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corp. (RBRC) in a month-long awareness and call-to-action campaign to educate consumers about recycling rechargeable batteries.

           

RBRC will showcase its nationwide Call2Recycle program in OSH stores Saturday, Aug. 19, and spokesman Richard Karn will be at the OSH store at 3350 Arden Way in Sacramento, Calif., from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. He will be available to meet with the public and sign autographs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will also include a full-size interactive racing simulator car, a prize wheel, and educational materials and giveaways from RBRC.

           

The Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corp. is a nonprofit organization that promotes rechargeable battery and cell phone recycling.

           

Orchard Supply Hardware is a chain of home improvement and garden retail stores with 85 California locations.
