Group Formed to Serve Auto, Metal Scrap Shredding Industry

Goal of the consortium is to be a 'shredder superstore'.

According to a press announcement, a consortium of companies has been formed that will focus on turnkey solutions for the automobile and scrap metal shredding industry.

The consortium, called Hammermills International, will provide a range of equipment to the auto shredding industry, including complete shredding plants with the mill, in-feed conveyors, ferrous recovery systems, nonferrous recovery systems and environmental controls.

The firm will supply a complete range of wear parts, from hammers and grates to liners, rotors, pins and bolts. The firm also will provide complete assembly and disassembly services to facilitate used or new shredder removal or installation. Professional services will include production diagnostics and operational consulting.

The firms involved in Hammermills International include Osborn Engineering, A.W.C. Services LLC and Nevada Shredder Consulting. “The unique range of products and services truly makes us a shredder superstore” says Marlin Bills, president of Osborn Engineering. “We’re thrilled to be able to offer “one stop shopping from a single source.”

“This is truly unique for the industry. Never before has a supplier been able to offer professional services, installation and maintenance, equipment and wear parts from a single turnkey source” says Tim Csendom, president of Nevada Shredder Consulting.

The firm is also the exclusive licensed manufacturer of SERAM UK shredders for the North American market. The company’s range includes the patent pending side-squeeze in-feed system for shredders that enhances production, density and efficiency, particularly for smaller sized shredders.
