Grupo Imsa Exits Automotive Battery Business

Johnson Controls will take over 100 percent ownership of operations.

Grupo Imsa, S.A. de C.V. and Johnson Controls, Inc. announced the closing of the agreement whereby Grupo Imsa will exit the automotive battery business and Johnson Controls, its joint venture partner since 1998, assumes 100 percent ownership of the operations.

 

Grupo Imsa, a holding company, operates in three businesses: steel processed products; steel and plastic construction products; and aluminum and other related products.

 

Grupo Imsa operates manufacturing and distribution facilities in Mexico, the United States, Europe and throughout Central and South America.
