GreenSight Technologies, a startup building what it describes as intelligent automation solutions for information technology asset disposition (ITAD) facilities, won first place and a $125,000 investment at the 2025 AngelCon competition hosted by the Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE).

GreenSight was among six finalists to pitch to 17 investors and an audience of 200, chosen from dozens of applicant companies.

Founded in 2024 by Jake Daniels, Diego Curiel and Mackenzie Kettwig, GreenSight Technologies has developed artificial intelligence-, or AI-, driven solutions for a circular economy.

Based in San Luis Obispo, California, GreenSight says it is building software to help ITAD facilities maximize value recovery from used electronics. Its Scan-For-Value product provides real-time device identification, valuation and routing suggestions, helping facilities make smarter refurbishment, resale and recycling decisions to maximize efficiency and returns. Its technology is positioned to help facilities modernize operations that traditionally have relied on manual processes and incomplete data.

"Winning AngelCon validates the urgency for smarter, more sustainable solutions in the ITAD industry," Daniels says. "We’re building technology that empowers facilities to recapture more value from every device and ultimately keep electronics in use longer."

GreenSight plans to begin beta testing Scan-For-Value with a group of industry-leading ITAD companies. The beta program will focus on demonstrating product stability and quantifying the impact of real-time device intelligence.

"We’re focused on building solutions that make reuse not just the right thing to do but the most profitable thing to do," Daniels says. "For too long, ITAD and recycling facilities, despite being essential to managing the world’s discarded technology, have been left behind by the latest wave of innovation. We’re changing that, helping them operate at the level they’ve always deserved."

GreenSight Technologies plans to expand its platform capabilities following the beta program, with a road map that includes automated device grading, integrated resale channel recommendations and facility workflow automation.
