“We have completely replaced all tire shredders with more efficient, higher volume equipment similar to that used in our Minnesota, Georgia and Oklahoma locations,” Mark Maust, GreenMan’s Midwestern regional vice president, says. “In addition, we have installed GreenMan’s third waste wire processing equipment line, which will allow us to reduce waste wire disposal costs while providing the internal capital to produce over 20 million pounds of rubber feedstock per year for our crumb rubber operations.”
Bob Davis, GreenMan’s president and CEO, says, “By integrating the collective resources and expertise at our Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa locations over the past five months, we have realized a six-fold increase in crumb rubber production compared to the one-year period prior to acquiring the Iowa operation.” He adds, “The internalization of crumb rubber feedstock supply and production via our new processing equipment will eliminate over $250,000 in annual transportation costs necessitated by sourcing crumb rubber feedstock from GreenMan’s Wisconsin location at the same time it positions us to better meet increased market demand for our products and services.”
