GreenMan Technologies, Inc. has acquired Unlimited Tire Technologies, Inc., an Azusa, Calif., based company in the business of collecting, processing and marketing of scrap tires. GreenMan will manage the operations under the name of GreenMan Technologies of California, Inc.
UTT was formed in 1998 and currently manages over 1 million tires per year. UTT has an installed crumb rubber processing capacity of over 10 million pounds per year and a proven customer base.
Bob Davis, GreenMan's CEO stated " The acquisition of UTT represents a key entry step in establishing GreenMan's West Coast Region. California generates over 30 million new scrap tires per year. We firmly believe our proven expertise in the areas of procurement, processing and product marketing will allow us to expeditiously grow UTT's current scrap tire volumes."
