GREENetwork Achieves 100 Drop-Off Centers

ASL Recycling has established more than 100 e-waste drop-off centers.

Just six months after launching, ASL Recycling’s GREENetwork has increased its GREENspot California drop-off locations to 100. The San Jose, Calif.-based recycling company has established drop-off centers providing Californians a way to safely recycle their old TVs and electronics. Since the beginning of the program, GREENspot locations have saved 7 million pounds of e-waste from being diverted to landfills.

“What we hear is that consumers want to do the right thing and get rid of their e-waste responsibly, but they’re concerned about the security of their personal data or exactly how the e-waste is being recycled,” says Carey Levine, vice president of sales and marketing at ASL Recycling. “When you select a GREENspot, you can be sure that you’re working with a reputable e-waste collector that is part of the ASL GREENetwork.”

Over the past two months, ASL has established 11 new GREENspot locations, bringing their total to 100, and in the coming monthsASL plans to continue their expansion into Southern California.

E-waste accepted at GREENspot drop-off centers includes TVs, cell phones, computer equipment, microwaves and electronic equipment from office and labs.
