Greenberg Engineering Co., Bala Cynwyd, Pa., is celebrating its 70th anniversary in business this April.
The company’s roots trace back to April 1935, when Elmer H. Greenberg founded a scrap recycling company. Current president William B. Greenberg, Elmer’s son, joined the company in 1947 after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania.
Greenberg Engineering Co. today offers equipment design, sales, installation and consulting to nonferrous metals recyclers. Among the machinery offered by the company are cable strippers and molten metal pumps.
It is a year of milestones for the Greenberg family, including the 55th wedding anniversary for Bill Greenberg and his wife and the 110th anniversary of Elmer’s birth.
