Granutech-Saturn Systems Expands Grizzly Line

Super 80 Grizzly features higher capacity than other Grizzly models.

Grand Prairie, Texas-based Granutech-Saturn Systems has introduced a new version of its Grizzly grinder. Greg Wright, Granutech director of sales, says the Super 80 Grizzly features a serrated knife, higher horsepower, slower speed and higher torque than its other models and delivers the highest capacity in the industry.

Granutech says that while the Super 80 Grizzly is primarily used for tires, it can be used to process electronic scrap and aluminum and in waste-to-energy applications. Granutech says the Super 80 Grizzly can help users process tire chips at a higher volume while producing a smaller product.
The Super 80 Grizzly retains many of the features common to the Grizzly line, including liner plates in the housing, a two-piece screen design, an easy-open upper hopper, multiedge reusable knives and service platforms and handrails. The Super 80 Grizzly also features larger shafts and bearings, a solid one-piece forged rotor and a higher capacity gearbox, according to Granutech-Saturn.
The company claims the new features result in the grinder producing nearly four times more torque than the standard Grizzly model while doubling its production. Using the Super 80 Grizzly, a single-line tire processing system can achieve eight tons per hour in capacity, Granutech-Saturn alleges.
In addition to the Grizzly line, Granutech-Saturn Systems manufactures MAC auto crushers and balers, Saturn shredders and Granutech crumb rubber granulator systems.
