Atlanta-based Georgia-Pacific Recycling (GPR) has launched hubbIT, an online transaction platform that digitally connects fiber, metals and plastics suppliers to GPR's trading network. The application enables recyclers to streamline the selling process through a user-friendly platform, saving time and effort, according to the company.

HubbIT provides suppliers with upfront pricing for more than 50 grades, spanning fiber, metals and plastics, as well as streamlined communication channels directly linked to their assigned GPR account managers. GPR says its payment methods and extensive logistics network ensure prompt and secure payments to suppliers and timely material transportation.

GPR points out that certain suppliers could face challenges in accessing diverse market opportunities for their recyclables, primarily given limitations in their networks, resources or locations, hindering their ability to explore new business ventures and maximize their sales potential. HubbIT aims to tackle these specific challenges, including consistent pricing availability, clear payment terms and timelines and broader transportation options.

The company says hubbIT is designed so that sellers can find the price for their materials easily, set their desired pickup dates and instantly lock in pricing. If a seller doesn’t see pricing for a specific grade, submitting an offer is seamless, prompting a personalized quote from a dedicated GPR account manager through the platform.
