The Austin, Texas, recycling company Balcones Resources has signed a five-year contract with the nonprofit organization Goodwill Industries of Central Texas that aims to boost job opportunities in the state while increasing recycling efforts in central Texas. The contract was signed Feb. 1, 2012.
According to the contract, Balcones Resources will assist Goodwill Industries in its paper, plastic and glass recycling efforts by having the nonprofit become a licensee of Balcones’ SingleCycle program.
“Our partnership is a unique opportunity for Goodwill and Balcones to expand our recycling services, create jobs and help Austin towards its Zero Waste goals,” Kerry Getter, Balcones Resources CEO, says.
