Gershow Recycling, Medford, New York, has announced the winners of its Environmental Conservation Scholarship. The recycling company says it awards the scholarship to graduating seniors who have displayed exemplary efforts in the fields of environmental science or engineering while in high school and plan to continue to pursue higher education degrees in either of these areas of study.
The winners of this year’s scholarships are New York students Coral Nizen-Jacobellis, Lindenhurst High School; Gianna Greco, Bay Shore High School; and Justin Wallace, Walt Whitman High School. The winners will receive a one-time scholarship in the amount of $1,000.
Founded in 1964, Gershow Recycling began as a small operation and has grown into a successful environmental company with nine locations.
