The Düsseldorf, Germany-based Federal Association of German Steel Recycling and Waste Management Companies (BDSV) reports the tenure of its managing director Thomas Junker has ended at the start of this year under what it says are “the very best of terms.”
“The BDSV would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Thomas Junker for his valuable efforts and his dedicated commitment during their time together and wishes him all the best for the future," the group says.
During a transition period until the organization’s 2024 executive board is appointed, the BDSV will be represented by acting managing director Guido Lipinski and the executive board.
“The steel recycling industry is undergoing a significant transformation phase, which is characterized by new demands on member companies every day," the BDSV says of future issues facing the recycling industry. "Therefore, a strong representation of the association's interests remains of great importance. The BDSV will continue to play an active role in shaping the political framework, providing information to members in an understandable way, offering attractive services such as specific training courses and serving as a platform for the entire steel recycling industry. These pillars form the foundation of our strong work.”
