Georgia Concrete Plant Plans Expansion

Operation was recently given permission to recycle concrete and asphalt.

A Macon, Ga.-plant that had received zoning approval in May to process and recycle concrete and asphalt has gone back to the zoning commission with plans to expand its facility, according to a report in The Telegraph (Macon, Ga.).

Seminole Precast Manufacturing Inc. has filed an application for a conditional-use permit that would allow a pre-cast concrete production facility, according to the report.

If approved, the company would be allowed to mix of bulk cement, rock and sand to produce concrete to meet Georgia Department of Transportation specifications and cast molds to create components for highway barriers, beams and other projects.
