After initially partnering in March, Toronto-based recycling equipment supplier Gensco Equipment has been appointed the exclusive partner of Italian automotive dismantling and depollution equipment manufacturer Iris-Mec.
Gensco will supply Iris-Mec’s product line across North America and parts of Latin America, and the company says its extensive dealer network ensures Iris-Mec’s equipment is readily available throughout the Americas.
“This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility,” Gensco Chief Commercial Officer Sean Abenstein says. “By joining forces with Iris-Mec, we are setting a new benchmark for automotive recycling, one that places cutting-edge technology hand in hand with sustainable practices.”
Iris-Mec lists innovation as a key feature of its depollution and dismantling equipment of end-of-life vehicles, noting its equipment streamlines the depollution process and emphasizes safe operation, seamless fluid separation, efficiency and responsible disposal of hazardous materials, including lithium-ion and electric vehicle batteries.
The company says other features of its equipment include precision dismantling, automated efficiency and environmental stewardship, noting its depollution process is designed to meet environmental regulations of countries worldwide.
According to Gensco, the exclusive partnership provides customers access to the 104-year-old company’s knowledge and support system, efficient distribution and eco-friendly transformation.
