Genesis says it selected CLM Equipment as its second annual honoree because of the company’s commitment to providing high quality attachments and service to its customer base.

“CLM is headquartered out of Lafayette and has branches in Sulphur, La., and Baytown, Texas,” says Johnnie Breaux, Genesis’ South Central regional manager. “As a result, they see a good deal of demolition work, particularly in large refinery components. Their ability to take the Genesis name to their customers—both on a sales and rental basis—shows they genuinely care about their customers’ success.”

Blake Degueyter, vice president of sales and rental at CLM’s corporate offices in Lafayette, received a plaque honoring the company. Floyd Degueyter, CLM founder and owner, also attended the award ceremony.

“A huge part of our business philosophy is based on providing our customers the best equipment available,” Blake said. “We’ve been in business for more than 40 years and got to where we are by offering in-demand lines, including Kobelco, Kawasaki, Case, Link Belt and more. In our estimation, Genesis attachments are the finest tools on the market today. They make an excellent compliment to our own offering and have proven a great fit for us.”

In 2005, Genesis named Cleveland-based Gibson Machinery as its inaugural “Dealer of the Year.”
