Genesis Attachments, a supplier of mobile shears for the scrap industry, has expanded its product line with the introduction of a full line of orange peel-type scrap grapples.
The Genesis Scrap Grapple (GSG) is available in four models, ranging in capacity from .75 cubic yards to 1.5 cubic yards.
Features of the grapple line include heavy-duty 4-inch bore hydraulic cylinders with 2.5 inch rods for powerful closing and fast opening; a 360 degree continuous rotation with high-torque rotation motor for material access and placement; and high-strength, abrasion-resistant steel construction for long life and optimum durability.
The new grapples are a perfect complement to the company’s XP Series mobile shears, says David Palvere, Genesis’ director of Business Development.
“The scrap grapple line is designed with the same focus on performance as our shears and, for that matter, every attachment that leaves here,” he says. “We understand the demands scrap recyclers place on their equipment, and we’ve been meeting those needs for better than a decade now. We feel the GSG line will help recyclers in the best way possible: By quickly, efficiently and reliably getting material to a place where it can make them money.”
The GSG line features heavy-duty cylinder guards to reduce the risk of cylinder damage and contamination from debris; replaceable, weld-on, abrasion-resistant AR-40 steel tine tips; and large-diameter, induction-hardened chrome pins and bushings for added durability.
