Global Electric Electronic Processing Inc. (GEEP) has been selected by the city of Montreal, Quebec, as its exclusive service provider for the collection and recycling of its obsolete electronics.
GEEP will serve a minimum of six Eco-Centres in the city, and will ensure the sustainable management of more than 900,000 kilograms of material each year. The contract granted to GEEP runs for three years and covers the recycling of all end-of-life electric and electronic products.
"We are particularly proud to have been chosen by the City of Montreal. We are convinced that our approach, based on sustainable management, professionalism, price competitiveness as well as the environmental and energy efficiency of our process, is what made the difference during the selection process. Considering the leading position of the city of Montreal, we are excited that the trust placed in us will encourage other cities in the Province of Quebec to call on our expertise" says Bruce Hartley, vice president, Business Development at GEEP Ecosys.
