GCI, a full-service broker to the cable television industry, and Fox Electronics, the single largest processor of used integrated circuits in the world, have reached a definitive agreement to provide end-of-life management services to the cable television industry.
"Our customers need to be assured that their obsolete inventory is being disposed of in a way that is not only economical, but environmentally safe and accomplished according to the letter of the law," says Michael Bradshaw, president of GCI. "By partnering with Fox Electronics, GCI can provide an unmatched level of service and value to our customers."
Under the agreement, GCI will market Fox's expertise in disposal and destruction of outdated equipment to the cable television industry.
"We serve the largest producers of consumer and business electronics in the world," says Brad Fox, general manager of Fox Electronics. Based in San Jose, Calif., the company is one of the largest service providers in the field of end-of-life management in the cable industry.
"We give our customers complete visibility into the destruction and recycling process,'' Fox says. "We observe the strictest regulatory and environmental standards. Every step in our disposal process is completely documented. Clients can even watch their inventory being destroyed with our live cameras streaming video over the Internet."
