Galaxy Recycling, a Jersey City, NJ, paper recycling company, acquired the operations of its largest competitor, Garden State Recycling, an Edison, NJ paper recycler.
The acquisition took place September 12. A spokesman for Galaxy said that both companies have very similar operations, with a major focus on handling, processing and marketing of recovered fiber.
GSR, with two facilities in New Jersey, will continue to operate under the Garden State Recycling name.
