Galamba Metals Group LLC, Kansas City, Mo., has acquired the former Hendren Salvage Co. of Columbia, Mo.
The Columbia yard has served as a scrap recycling facility in Columbia for more than 50 years, according to a Galamba Metals Group news release. It will continue to offer roll-off containers and other services.
Billy Hendren, former owner of the yard, will manage the yard for the Galamba Group as a Regional Yard Production Manager. “This is good for the community and good for business,” says Hendren. “Galamba is a stable company with honest people and this is good for our employees and customers.”
The acquisition of the Hendren Yard extends Galamba’s reach into north central Missouri. Other Galamba locations in Central Missouri include the Scrap-all Yard in Holts Summit, the Outer Road Yard in Boonville and the Lake Ozark Yard in Linn Creek.
Galamba Metals Group LLC is a full-service metal recycler with a regional network of 12 locations that offers mobile crushing operations and trucking services throughout the Midwest.
