Fujitsu Adopts Casella’s Power of Three

Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc. (FFNA), headquartered in Foothill Ranch, Calif., has announced its Plattsburgh, N.Y., office has joined Casella Waste Systems’ Power of Three closed loop recycling service. 

The premise of Casella’s Power of Three program is for a waste management company to collect a customers’ recyclables, process the material into a new product and then sell the new product back to its customer.
 

Fujitsu says it was the first company in Clinton County, N.Y., to combine the Power of Three with Casella’s Zero-Sort program. With Zero-Sort, all of Fujitsu’s paper, plastic, glass and metal are combined in one container. Casella’s Zero-Sort Rutland, Vt., processing facility mechanically sorts the material. Once sorted, the baled paper is shipped to SCA’s paper mill in Glens Falls, N.Y., where it is converted into 100 percent recycled paper content products. The material is then delivered back to Fujitsu by Foley Distributing.
