Fuchs to exhibit at ISRI2018

The MHL340 F2 and MHL350 F2 material handlers will be on display.

Terex brand Fuchs, with North American headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky, will exhibit in booth No. A6 at ISRI2018, the convention hosted by the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries. The event is scheduled for April 14-19, 2018, at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

The company will display two material handlers: the MHL340 F2 and MHL350 F2.

Commenting on the lineup, Todd Goss, general manager for Fuchs in North America, say the machines enable customers in the company’s four core segments of scrap, waste, forestry and the port industry to operate efficiently and boost return on investment.

The company says it is focusing on growing distribution globally to ensure customers experience more responsive service and parts support. As of the end of March, 23 Fuchs equipment dealers are located throughout North America, the company says.

The Fuchs MHL340F handles heavy recycling loads precisely within a specific work radius. The undercarriage, with its larger outrigger cylinders and a stabilization footprint measuring 16-feet-9-inches by 14-feet-1-inch, ensures stability when heavy loads are to be handled, Fuchs says, using a reach of up to nearly 42 feet. Slewing motors and slewing gears are fine-tuned, and the lifting and stick cylinders come equipped with special end-position damping to ensure neither speed nor precision is compromised.

The company says “cutting-edge engine technology combined with intelligent hydraulics” give the MHL350 F its speed and sensitivity. With an operating weight of up to 78,263 pounds, a reach of 52 feet and 6 inches and an undercarriage width of 9 feet 10 inches, the MHL 350 offers stability, Fuchs says. The 215-horsepower turbo diesel engine and hydraulics operating in a dual-circuit system ensure that even heavier loads are handled with precision and speed.

“These are exciting times for the Fuchs business,” Goss says. “We have significantly strengthened the Fuchs team, increased local support by growing our distribution network, broadened and updated our purpose-built handler line for the market and customized our equipment to meet specific application needs for our customers. It’s a good time to be a Fuchs material handler customer.”
