AMCS, a Limerick, Ireland-based global supplier of integrated software and vehicle technology for the waste, recycling and logistical industries, has announced a new five-year contract with Franzefoss, one of Norway’s largest waste management companies.
Franzefoss has an annual turnover of approximately 100 million euros and operates more than 250 waste and recycling collection vehicles across 22 sites.
Under its contract with AMCS, Franzefoss will consolidate and replace a number of legacy systems with AMCS’ Enterprise Management (ERP) and Intelligent Optimization solutions. The new system also will include the introduction of the latest mobile technology for its drivers, AMCS says. The implementation will be managed from AMCS’ offices in Denmark and Sweden.
Franzefoss CEO Truls Markussen says, “In recent years, Franzefoss has been looking for a single nationwide solution capable of replacing the four systems that are currently used to manage our operation across Norway. Following a period of detailed supplier evaluation, we identified that AMCS’ suite of solutions and experience of the market would make them the best fit for Franzefoss. We look forward to working with the AMCS team on the implementation and future development of this system.”
AMCS Sales Manager Frank Bolso says, “We look forward to working with the team at Franzefoss and helping them to realize the significant commercial and operational benefits that this new system has to offer. We recognize that this is a long-term relationship and will maintain the existing partnership approach to extend the scope of the solution and deliver continuous improvement.”
AMCS’ ERP systems have automated hundreds of back-offices for clients around the world, according to the company. The single platform approach is designed to ensure that systems are fit for purpose, scalable and futureproof so they can deliver higher levels of efficiency, operational savings and business continuity.
AMCS says its Intelligent Optimization product is one of the world’s leading route planning and optimization solutions, proven to deliver significant cost reductions and improved customer service levels, including up to 25 percent reductions in carbon dioxide emissions, mileage and driving time.
