Franklin Miller is introducing its Taskmaster TM2800 Shredder, which is designed to quickly reduce bulk solids with its powerful shredding action.
The shredder features an advanced design and provides a low speed, high torque, counter rotating shredder that can tear through steel drums, tires, wood and rubber material, pallets and more. The result is that bulk volume items are reduced by as much as 80 percent. The unit cuts storage and disposal costs, reduces scrap and helps in the safe disposal of hazardous or substandard waste.
The Taskmaster has a fully enclosed dust-tight body of heavy structural steel. Hardened and ground cutter disks and spacers ride on two parallel hex shafts. The cutters counter-rotate at different speeds, intermeshing with one another. Solids are grabbed and shredded by this high torque mechanism. The unit operates with little vibration or noise.
The Taskmaster shredder has a split body frame that provides easy access to the cutters, allowing fast removal of the complete cutter assembly from the top of the unit. The shredders can be configured to meet most wet or dry application or installation requirement. They are also available as part of a complete engineered system.
