The PRS Product Recovery System from Franklin Miller, Livingston, N.J., separates bulk product from packaging.
It combines shredding technology with a sifting system that separates liquid or dry product from its packaging. The product is discharged from one port, while its packaging is discharged from a second.
According to the company, the system is well-suited to expired or returned products packaged in cardboard, plastic, metals cans and more.
The PRS is available in carbon steel or stainless steel construction. An automatic wash system is optional.
