In addition to overseeing operations and maintenance actives, Benacquisto will be responsible for all FPT transportation operations, the FPT Maintenance and Engineering Division, the FPT Capital Expenditure program and all purchasing activities for the company.
Benacquisto’s 38-year career started at Sam Allen & Sons, where he began forging his operations and management skills. He later succeeded as a partner in acquiring the business, as well as Schlafer Iron & Steel and TBS Trucking.
Soave Enterprises acquired Benacquisto’s three businesses in 1997. Benacquisto then went on to further refine his management skills and was responsible for all yard and trucking operations in Windsor, Detroit and Pontiac, Michigan, for FPT.
