U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 has issued an administrative consent order to Fort James Operating Co. that requires the company to modify its state operating permit to require better monitoring of a boiler at the company's paper mill in Green Bay, Wis.
The order resolves EPA allegations of violations at the company's Boiler #8.
In December 2003, EPA made a preliminary finding that Fort James had Clean Air Act violations related to the boiler.
