The (Fort Collins) Coloradoan reports the recycling drop-off facility on Riverside Avenue will close Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, and the equipment will be moved to a new facility on Timberline Road.
The new recycling center will open Monday, Aug. 22, and will offer free recycling for materials typically collected by curbside services. Nontraditional material, including paint, motor oil, batteries, scrap metal, electronics and concrete, will be accepted for $5. The facility also will host clothing donation boxes and a mulch pile, the article says.
Conventional recycling will be available daily, while the specialized area will operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday during the summer and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday in winter.
