Forest2Market, Charlotte, N.C., a company that provides market pricing data and supply chain expertise to customers in the forest, wood products, pulp and paper, lumber and bioenergy industries, has added Barbara Wright Hudson to its staff.
Hudson will lead the company’s recycled fiber practice. She will be responsible for driving sales of Market2Mill, the company’s suite of services for buyers and sellers of recycled fiber, and for managing product evolution and derivative product development.
“Forest2Market has provided price and volume data and cost benchmarks to the pulp and paper industry on the virgin fiber side for nearly a decade,” says Pete Stewart, the company’s president and CEO. “At their request, we’ve recently expanded into the recycled side of the business. Hudson will be integral in our work to serve this new segment of our customer base.”
Hudson comes to Forest2Market with 15 years of experience in the recycled fiber industry, where she sourced, negotiated and procured recycled materials for domestic and global markets. Most recently, she was recycled fiber procurement manager for Marcal Manufacturing, a New Jersey recycled paper mill.
Hudson also served in various roles at Pratt Industries’ Recycling Division as well as at Greif and at Packaging Corp. of America.
“With the depth of her experience in the supply chain, Hudson will enhance Forest2Market’s ability to understand and analyze supply/demand market trends,” says Suzanne Hearn, manager of sales and marketing for Forest2Market. “We look forward to working with her to expand our customer base and provide high quality service to our customers.”
